Individual therapy is the most common way to do therapy. We meet one on one in my office or over telehealth to work together on the concerns you bring to session. There are many different types of therapy, but the most important aspect of therapy is having a strong relationship with your therapist so you can feel safe enough to explore both the roots and the here and now aspects of what’s happening for you. Some of the types of therapy I draw from include cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems and attachment theory, and parts work. Sometimes it’s helpful to reach into the past to explore and heal past wounds, or to be more focused on the present, finding ways to change your immediate experience and feel differently. I am committed to helping clients of all genders, sexual identities and expressions, and I incorporate anti-oppression principles and social justice into all of my work.
