As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I often work with individuals! Sometimes this can mean using a family systems lens to explore the relationships and systems you’re a part of, and understand how these relationship dynamics affect you.
The most important aspect of therapy is having a strong relationship with your therapist so you can feel safe enough to explore both the roots and the here and now aspects of what’s happening.
Some of the types of therapy I am informed by include mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems and attachment theory, and parts work or internal family systems.
I enjoy working with clients of all genders, sexual identities and expressions, and strive to incorporate anti-oppression principles and social justice values into all of our work.
