Couple and Relationship Counseling

Often in couple therapy we focus in the beginning on changing the dynamics of communication. Learning tools to communicate effectively, including identifying and expressing feelings, sharing needs and wants, and establishing boundaries will change the way you relate to your partner in profound ways. Feeling comfortable and confident in communication mechanics can help you to tackle deeper or longstanding issues that are getting in the way of intimacy, joy, and connection. We will most likely explore your intimate relationship history, attachment styles, and unspoken relationship expectations in a way that feels supportive and healing. I love working with couples and seeing how making even the smallest changes can have major impacts. I’m comfortable working with traditional as well as non-traditional couples and relationship structures, and am polyamory/consensual non-monogamy and kink friendly.

Some issues that bring couples to therapy are:

  • Communication Challenges or Frequent Conflict
  • Trust Issues, Past or Present
  • Intimacy and Connection
  • Sex and Sexuality
  • Mental Health Concerns
  • ENM or Poly Relationship Exploration and Dynamics
  • Household Management and Parenting
  • Differences in Relational or Processing Styles

If any of the above relate to your and your partner in your relationship, contact me today for a free consultation. I would love to speak about how I may be able to help reconnect and bring more love, understanding, and feelings of safety into your relationship.
